    Unlimited - Ulduar Content Information

    Here you can find information about Ulduar’s content, it being the mechanics, bosses and trash.


    Zone Information:

    Upon entering Ulduar, on the left side, you will be greeted by Lady Jaina Proudmoore, a World teleporter, an Ulduar teleporter, an item vendor and a quest master.
    Lady Jaina Proudmoore provides every player an Arcane Crystal (more information below).
    The Ulduar Teleporter is used to teleport players around Ulduar.
    The item vendor sells Tier items for the Ulduar’s currency drops.
    The quest master gives the players quests which are requirements for Tier items.

    While inside the instance, two auras are present on the players: Blessing of Ulduar and Corruption of the Old Gods.

    1. Blessing of Ulduar
      1. While the player is out of combat, the player’s movement speed is increased by 100%.
      2. You cannot mount while in Ulduar.

    2. Corruption of the Old Gods
      1. To control the difficulty of the instance, several statistics have been altered.
      2. Dodge chance reduced by 25%, Parry and Block chance reduced by 15% and healing received reduced by 35%. Also reduces all resistances by 30%.

    The First Wing


    Trash mobs:

    Several Kirin Tor mobs are scattered around the main zone. They have been enslaved by the Old Gods.
    Guarding the Kirin Tor enslaved mobs are the Faceless Ones.
    Four Element Towers are present, guarded by their element guardians and minions.

    Trash spells and mechanics:


    1. Kirin Tor Battle-Mage
      1. Arcane Barrage - Does high Arcane damage to the target. Casted every 5 seconds.
      2. Time Warp - Increase the attack speed by 100% to all nearby friendly targets for 20 seconds. Casted every 30 seconds.
      3. Summon Kirin Tor Familiar - Summons a Kirin Tor Familiar to attack his enemies.
        1. It has permanent area aura that increases damage done by 50% of all nearby friendly targets in 20 yards.


    2. Kirin Tor Scout
      1. Shoot - Uses the ranged weapon to periodically shoot its target.
      2. Summon Kirin Tor Dragonhawk - Summons a Kirin Tor Dragonhawk to attack his enemies.

    3. Kirin Tor War Mage
      1. Frostfire Bolt - Does medium Frostfire damage and an additional medium Frostfire damage over 5 seconds. Also slows movement speed by 50%. Casted every 3 seconds on a random target. Can be silenced and interrupted.

    4. Kirin Tor Hawkrider
      1. Joust - Charges at an enemy doing medium Physical damage and stunning the target for 3 seconds. Casted every 3 seconds on a random target.

    5. Kirin Tor Guardian Mage
      1. Arcane Shield - Absorbs a high amount of damage for 10 seconds. Casted every 3 seconds on the lowest health friendly target.

    6. Kirin Tor Agent
      1. Stealth - Allows the Kirin Tor Agent to walk in stealth.
      2. Kidney Shot - Stuns for 6 seconds. Casted every 10 seconds.
      3. Blind - Blinds for 4 seconds. Casted every 8 seconds on a random target other than the main target.

    7. Faceless One
      1. Fear - Fears for 5 seconds. Casted every 5 seconds on a random target.
      2. Shadow Bolt Volley - Does very high Shadow damage to enemies in 40 yards. Can be silenced and interrupted.
      3. Domination - Mind Controls for 10 sec, increasing the controlled player’s damage done by 100%. Casted every 25 seconds on a random target.
      4. Shadow Lash - Does medium Shadow damage, and additional medium shadow damage over 10 seconds. Casted every 10 seconds.

    8. Element of Life
      1. War Stomp - Does medium Physical damage and knock back enemies in 10 yards. Casted every 20 seconds.
      2. Entangling Roots - Roots all enemies in 40 yards and does medium Nature damage over 6 seconds. Casted after War Stomp.
      3. Regrowth - Heals for a medium amount and another high amount over 21 seconds. Casted after Entangling Roots. Can be silenced and interrupted.
      4. Thorns - Does high Nature damage to the attackers when hit in melee. Lasts 15 seconds. Casted every 25 seconds.
      5. Moonfire - Does medium Arcane damage and additional high Arcane damage over 10 seconds. Casted every 12 seconds.

    9. Element of Flames
      1. Fire Nova - Does high Fire damage to enemies in 10 yards. Casted every 14 seconds. Can be silenced and interrupted.
      2. Flamestrike - Does medium Fire damage and additional medium Fire damage over 10 seconds. Casted every 5 seconds on a random target other than the main target.
      3. Living Bomb - Does medium Fire damage over 4 seconds and explodes on expiration for very high Fire damage to all enemies in 10 yards. Casted every 8 seconds on a random target other than the main target.
      4. Fire Blast - Does high Fire damage. Casted every 11 seconds.

    10. Element of Frost
      1. Ice Fists - Melee attacks against the target slows the target’s attack speed and movement speed by 10% per stack. Max 5 stacks. Lasts 10 seconds.
      2. Frost Breath - Does high Frost damage to enemies in 50 yards in a frontal cone and reduces attack speed by 100% for 6 sec. Casted every 12 seconds on a random target other than the main target. Can be silenced and interrupted.
      3. Frost Mist - Summons a mist of frost. Enemies inside the mist take with 100% more damage, and have their movement speed reduced by 50%. Lasts 10 seconds. Casted every 5 seconds on a random target.
      4. Frost Nova - Does medium Frost damage to enemies in 50 yards. Casted every 3 seconds.

    11. Element of Storm
      1. Windfury - Melee attacks have a chance to do two additional attacks.
      2. Hurricane - Does high Nature damage to enemies in 8 yards. Casted every 8 seconds on a random target 10 yards further other than the main target.
      3. Chain Lightning - Does high Nature damage and jumps to additional enemies, inflicting greater damage to each target. Max 5 targets. Casted every 10 seconds.

    12. Treant
      1. Wrath - Does medium Nature damage. Casted every 2 seconds. Can be silenced and interrupted.

    13. Frayer
      1. Poison Bolt - Does medium Nature damage and additional medium Nature damage over 9 seconds. Casted every 5 seconds. Can be silenced and interrupted.

    14. Firestorm
      1. Fire Blast - Does high Fire damage and reduces armor by 30% for 5 seconds. Casted every 8 seconds.

    15. Flame Imp
      1. Firebolt - Does low Fire damage. Casted every 0.7 seconds.

    16. Water Lord
      1. Blizzard - Does medium Frost damage to enemies in 8 yards. Lasts 6 seconds. Casted every 8 seconds. Can be silenced and interrupted.

    17. Water Elemental
      1. Water Bolt - Does medium Frost damage. Casted every 2 seconds.

    18. Air Elemental
      1. Electro Shock - Does medium Nature damage and additional medium Nature damage over 12 seconds. Casted every 5 seconds on a random target.

    19. Tornado
      1. Moves around knocking players back and doing deadly Nature damage in 8 yards.





    Bosses:

    The first boss is G.R.D. Ian 2.0. To access it you have to destroy the four Element towers by using the Arcane Crystal (provided by Lady Jaina Proudmoore at the entrance) near the towers. Once destroyed, the light gate will open towers the boss. Killing the boss will open the door leading to the next bosses, Jeff and Jesper.
    The second and third boss, Jeff and Jesper, will have their doors open by talking with Lady Jaina Proudmoore that stands behind the first boss’ door. Killing both of them will enable you to open the door towards Ristzy.
    The fourth boss, Ristzy, will have his door open by talking to Jaina after killing Jeff and Jesper.


    Boss spells and mechanics:

    G.R.D. Ian 2.0

    1. Heat - Resource
      1. The boss uses Heat as resource for his most powerful spells.
      2. He generates Heat by doing melee attacks, moving and casting various spells.
        1. +6 Heat on melee attacks
        2. +5 Heat every 0.5 seconds while moving


    2. Cooling Off In…
      1. Every 30 seconds, he begins to cool off by casting the most powerful spell he has in his arsenal based on his Heat resource points, and uses all the Heat he has.

    3. Cooling Off Failed
      1. After casting a Heat spell (which uses all his Heat), he gains a stack of Cooling Off Failed and starts with 100 more Heat per stack of Cooling Off Failed.

    4. Fully Heated
      1. After reaching 9 stacks of Cooling Off Failed, the 10th stack is Fully Heated.

    5. Break
      1. Punches the target, doing low Physical damage and increases the target’s damage taken from melee attacks and Break by 20% per stack. Max 10 stacks. Lasts 30 seconds. Casted every 8 seconds.
      2. Generates 10 Heat + 10 Heat per stack.

    6. Capacitor Discharge
      1. Discharge the capacitor, sending a chain lightning to the target, doing 35% of hp as Nature damage, doubling with each chain target affecting up to 3 targets. Casted every 15 seconds on a random target further than 10 yards.
      2. Generates 35 Heat per target hit.

    7. Thunder Clap
      1. Blasts nearby enemies in 15 yards knocking them away in random directions and doing high damage. Casted every 20 seconds.

    8. Bombs Away !
      1. Summons a bomb that goes to a random player’s last position. When the position is reached, it explodes after 2 seconds, killing enemies in 10 yards. Casted every 10 seconds on a random target further than 10 yards.
      2. Generates 100 Heat per enemies killed.

    9. Summon Scrap Bot
      1. Summon 1 Scrap Bot from 8 different spawn points. The Scrap Bots move slowly to G.R.D Ian 2.0, and when reached, it heals the G.R.D. Ian 2.0 for 3% of hp. Casted every 60 seconds.

    10. Expose Weakness
      1. Puts a debuff on the tank, which reduced his dodge/parry/block chance to 0%, and armor by 50% for 6 seconds.
      2. Casted when the boss has between 200-499 Heat and Cooling Off In... expires.
      3. If the boss has reaches 2 stacks of Cooling Off Failed (+200 Heat checkpoint), Expose Weakness will be casted every 20 seconds and ignore the Cooling Off In... mechanic.

    11. Lightning Reflexes
      1. Increases attack speed by 100%, movement speed reduced by 50% and damage taken reduced by 20%. Lasts 8 seconds. Generates 50% less Heat from melee attacks.
      2. Casted when the boss has between 500-699 Heat and Cooling Off In… expires.
      3. If the boss reaches 5 stacks of Cooling Off Failed (+500 Heat checkpoint), Lightning Reflexes will be casted every 30 seconds and ignore the Cooling Off In… mechanic.

    12. Gravity Bomb
      1. Puts a debuff on a random target, the lasts 10 seconds. After it expires, the main target takes high Shadow damage, and pulls nearby enemies in 12 yards to the middle, damaging them for very high Shadow damage and slow their movement speed by 80% for 5 seconds.
      2. Casted when the boss has between 700-999 Heat and Cooling Off In… expires.
      3. If the boss reaches 7 stacks of Cooling Off Failed (+700 Heat checkpoint), Gravity Bomb will be casted every 40 seconds and ignore the Cooling Off In… mechanic.

    13. Air Strike
      1. Spawns 11 Air Planes that move in a straight line. The Air Planes periodicaly drop bomb that explode on the impact with the ground, doing deadly damage in 5 yards.
      2. Casted when the boss has 1000 Heat and Cooling Off In… expires.
      3. If the boss has Fully Heated (+1000 Heat checkpoint), Air Strike will be casted every 60 seconds and ignore the Cooling Off In… mechanic.



    Jeff

    1. Jeff does not move and attack in melee.
    2. Shadow Bolt
      1. Does high Shadow damage. Casted every 1.5 seconds.

    3. Shadow Bolt Volley
      1. Kills enemies in 20 yards. Casted every 32 seconds.

    4. Rain of Fire
      1. Does very high Shadow damage over 30 seconds to enemies in 8 yards. Casted every 10 seconds on a random target

    5. Fear
      1. Fears a target for 6 seconds. Casted every 12 seconds on a random target.

    6. Seed of Corruption
      1. Does medium Shadow damage over 12 seconds. Upon expiration, kills nearby allies in 10 yards. Casted every 25 seconds on a random target at max 20 yards.

    7. Health Siphon
      1. Jeff is healed for 1500% of Felhunter’s damage done with Drain Life.

    8. Nether Protection
      1. Immune to all damage. Lasts 60 seconds. Casted when he enters in combat.

    9. Summon Imp
      1. Summons 10 Imps. Casted when he enters combat and every 25 seconds.

    10. Blood Pact
      1. Increases Jeff’s health by 3% per stack for each Imp alive. Max 50 stacks.

    11. Firebolt
      1. Does very low Fire damage. Casted every 2 seconds by the Imps. Can be silenced and interrupted.

    12. Summon Voidwalker
      1. Summons 3 Voidwalkers. Casted when he enters combat and every 45 seconds.

    13. Soul Link
      1. Reduces Jeff’s damage taken by 20% per stack for each Voidwalker in 30 yards range of Jeff.

    14. Shadowstrike
      1. Does low Shadow damage. Casted every 4 seconds by the Voidwalker.

    15. Empowerment
      1. When the Voidwalkers are in 30 yards of Jeff, Voidwalker’s Shadowstrike damage is increased by 600%.

    16. Aid of the Void
      1. Calls the alive Voidwalkers to Jeff. Casted 20 seconds after Summon Voidwalker.

    17. Summon Succubus
      1. Summons 2 Succubuses. Casted 30 seconds after Jeff enters combat, and every 68 seconds after.

    18. Seduction
      1. Seduces the target for 60 seconds. Casted every 60 seconds. Can be silenced and interrupted.
      2. When silenced and interrupted, or the effect expires, the target will be stunned for 10 seconds, and the Succubus will select another target immediately.

    19. Summon Felhunter
      1. Summons 2 Felhunters. Casted every 52 seconds.

    20. Drain Life
      1. Drains health to Jeff. Lasts 8 seconds. Casted on combat entry and every 14 seconds by the Felhunters.

    21. Summon Felguard
      1. Summons a Felguard. Casted every 80 seconds.

    22. Guard
      1. Jeff is immune to damage and the Felguard takes 50% reduced damage while the Felguard is in 20 yards of Jeff.

    23. Inferno
      1. Summons a meteor on the target and does medium Fire damage and stuns nearby enemies in 8 yards for 2 seconds. An Infernal rises and moves around randomly unable to attack or be attacked, doing high damage in 8 yards.



    Jesper

    1. Mana - Resource
      1. The boss starts with 50,000 out of 100,000 mana.
      2. Cannot drain its mana.

    2. Water - Mechanic
      1. Entering the water will cleanse any Fire effect on the player, and make it immune to Fire damage for 3 seconds after removing the Fire effect.
      2. Standing in the water and receiving instant Fire damage will stun the player for 30 seconds, making it immune to all damage. If stunned, the player will lose aggro.

    3. Flaming Fists
      1. Melee attacks inflict Fire damage instead of Physical damage.

    4. Mana Flame Burst
      1. Upon reaching 100k mana, Jesper goes back to 50k mana and increase his damage by 15% per stack. Max 15 stacks.

    5. Flame Jets
      1. Burns enemies in a 40 yards frontal cone for medium Fire damage over 10 seconds. Casted every 25 seconds.
      2. Costs 8,000 mana.
      3. Taking damage from Flame Jets regenerates 2,000 mana to Jesper.

    6. Flaming Abyssal
      1. Summons a Flaming Abyssal in a random location. Unable to attack or be attacked. Casted every 30 seconds.
      2. Costs 4,000 mana.

    7. Fire Comet
      1. Does very high Fire damage. Casted every 3 seconds by the Flaming Abyssal on enemies in 10 yards.
      2. Taking damage from the FIre Comet regenerates 2,000 mana to Jesper.

    8. Living Bomb
      1. Does medium Fire damage over 10 seconds. Upon expiring, does high Fire damage to enemies in 10 yards. Casted every 12 seconds on a random target.
      2. Costs 7,000 mana.
      3. Taking damage from Living Bomb’s DoT regenerates 1,000 mana to Jesper.
      4. Taking damage from Living Bomb’s explosion regenerates 10,000 mana to Jesper.

    9. Fire Shield
      1. Absorbs a high amount of damage. Immune to silence and interrupts. Lasts until destroyed. Casted every 45 seconds.

    10. Pyroblast
      1. Does very high Fire damage. 10 seconds cast time. Casted after Fire Shield on a random target.
      2. Costs 10,000 mana.
      3. Taking damage from Pyroblast regenerates 40,000 mana to Jesper.

    11. Molten Giant
      1. Summons a Molten Giant. Casted every 60 seconds.

    12. Fire Nova
      1. Does high Fire damage to enemies in 30 yards. Casted every 6 seconds by the Molten Giant.
      2. Each player that takes damage from Fire Nova regenerates 2,000 mana to Jesper.

    13. Fire Blast
      1. Does low Fire damage, and increases the target’s Fire damage taken by 50% per stack. Max 20 stacks. Lasts 30 seconds. Casted every 6 seconds.

    14. Fiery Boulder
      1. Four fiery boulders get hurled from the sky at 4 random enemy’s location, doing high Fire damage and additional medium Fire damage over 15 seconds to all enemies in 8 yards.
      2. Taking damage from the impact regenerates 5,000 mana to Jesper per target hit.
      3. Taking damage from the DoT regenerates 1,000 mana to Jesper.



    Ristzy

    1. Fel Bot
      1. The Fel Bot attacks for Ristzy, casting various spells and attacks.

    2. Ristzy
      1. Upon entering combat, Ristzy will move around the edge of the zone, throwing various Bots at the players. After the Fel Bot is slain, Ristzy attacks. Ristzy has low health.
      2. When one of the four specific locations are reached (the junk piles), Ristzy will throw summon a Bot.

    3. World Breaker
      1. Does Physical damage based on range, between 0 and 100 yards. More damage done the farther the targets are. Casted every 35 seconds.

    4. Storm Cloud
      1. Puts a storm cloud on a player, doing high Nature damage over 15 seconds to nearby allies. Casted every 30 seconds on a random target at max 20 yards, other than the tank.

    5. Fel Flamestrike
      1. Does medium Fire damage over 10 seconds. Each player that takes damage from it, infuses the Fel Bot with 1 stack of Fel Infusion. Casted every 20 seconds on 3 random targets further than 10 yards.

    6. Fel Infusion
      1. Increases attack speed and Physical damage done by 5% per stack. Max 50 stacks. Lasts 15 seconds.

    7. Thunder Clap
      1. Does medium Nature dmage, and reduces attack speed by 15% of all enemies in 15 yards per stack. Max 5 stacks. Lasts 20 seconds. Casted every 7 seconds.

    8. Un-Repair Bot -3000
      1. Summons two bots.

    9. Un-Repaired
      1. Increases the target’s damage taken by 5% and reduces damage taken by 1% per stack. Max 100 stacks. Lasts 10 seconds. Casted every 3 seconds by the Un-Repair Bot -3000.

    10. Bomb Bot
      1. Summons a bot.
      2. Cannot attack or be attacked.

    11. Bomb Explode
      1. Does 80% of hp as Fire damage and stuns enemies and does 10% of hp as Fire damage in 10 yards for 10 seconds. Casted by the Bomb Bot.
      2. The bomb follows a random player around, marking the player.
      3. The Bomb explodes if any player comes in 6 yards of the Bomb or after 30 seconds.

    12. Sheep Bot
      1. Summons a bot.
      2. The sheep can be attacked.
      3. It will go to the middle of the room.

    13. Mass Polymorph
      1. Polymorphs all players in the whole room for 10 seconds. Also increase their damage taken by 20% per stack. Lasts 2 minutes. Casted when the middle of the room is reached by the Sheep Bot.

    14. Chicken Bot
      1. Summons a bot.
      2. Runs around in random directions for 90 seconds.

    15. You Chicken ?
      1. Fears nearby enemies in 15 yards for 6 seconds. Casted every 3 seconds by the Chicken Bot.

    The Second Wing


    Trash mobs:

    In the first half of the wing, various big elites are present, called Faceless One, Watcher and Keeper.
    In the second half of the wing, there are a variety of the first wing, and smaller ones.


    Trash spells and mechanics:


    1. Faceless One
      1. Fear - Fears for 5 seconds. Casted every 5 seconds on a random target.
      2. Shadow Bolt Volley - Does very high Shadow damage to enemies in 40 yards. Can be silenced and interrupted.

      2. Petrifying Breath - Does medium Nature damage, and stuns all targets in 20 yards frontal cone for 5 seconds. Casted every 17 seconds.
      3. Terrifying Screech - Interrupts spellcasting for 10 seconds. 1.5 sec cast time. 50 yards radius. Casted every 10 seconds.
      4. Storm of Shadow - Does medium Shadow damage every second to all enemies in 10 yards in the target area for 10 seconds. Casted every 15 seconds on a random target, other than the tank.

    3. Keeper
      1. Freeze - Does medium Frost damage to all enemies in the target area in 10 yards, roots them, and reduces their attack speed and casting speed by 200% for 10 seconds. Dispellable. Casted every 13 seconds on a random target other than the tank.
      2. Biting Cold - Does medium Frost damage every seconds in 20 yards until canceled.
      3. Frozen Blow - Does very high Frost damage every second for 5 seconds. Dispellable. Casted every 8 seconds.

    4. Frostbrand Berserker
      1. Frost Slash - Does low Frost damage, and increases the target's Frost damage taken by 5% for 10 seconds. Max 100 stacks. Casted every 3 seconds.
      2. Berserk - Increases attack speed by 300% for 5 seconds. Casted every 25 seconds.

    5. Frostbrand Spellbinder
      1. Frostbolt - Does high Frost damage. 0.5 sec cast time. Casted every 0.5 sec on a random target.

    6. Frostbrand General
      1. Throw Shield - Does high Physical damage, and stuns the target for 6 seconds. Casted every 15 seconds on a random target other than the tank.
      2. Baleful Strike - Does medium Physical damage. Casted every 3 seconds.

    7. Warsong Berserker
      1. Berserk - Increases attack speed by 20% and damage done reduced by 5% per stack. Gain 1 stack on aggro and 1 stack every 10% hp lost.

    8. Warsong Gladiator
      1. Defensive Stance - Reduces damage taken by 50% for 8 seconds. Casted every 15 seconds.
      2. Battle Shout - Increases damage done by 30% to all nearby allies within 20 yards for 15 seconds. Casted every 28 seconds.
      3. Disarm - Disarms the target for 5 seconds. Casted every 11 seconds.





    Bosses:

    To reach the Confused Raiders or the Space ? encounter, Ristzy must be slain. After doing that, Jaina will open a portal towards the second wing. The Ulduar Teleporter can also be used to teleport to the second wing, or to the second part of the second wing, after the Confused Raiders and Space ? encounters are finished.


    Boss spells and mechanics:

    Confused Raiders

    1. Oberon (Protection Warrior)
      1. Revenge - Does deadly Physical damage after the target blocks, dodges or parries an attack. Can't be dodged, blocked or parried.
      2. Shield Block - Increases block chance by 100% and Shield Slam damage by 200% for 10 sec. Casted every 40 sec.
      3. Shield Slam - Does medium Physical damage and dispels 1 magic effect from the target. Casted every 6 sec.
      4. Thunder Clap - Does low Nature damage and reduce nearby enemies' attack speed by 30% for 30 seconds. Casted every 7 seconds.
      5. Shield Bash - Silences the target for 4 seconds. Casted every 12 seconds.
      6. Battle Shout - Increase damage done by 50% of nearby allies within 30 yards for 2 minutes. Casted every 130 seconds.
      7. Defensive Stance - Reduce damage taken by 10%.

    2. Jimmy (Blood Death Knight)
      1. Blood Presence - Heals the Death Knight for 10% of the damage dealt.
      2. Blood Boil - Does medium Shadow damage to enemies within 20 yards. Damage increased by 10% per disease. Casted every 14 seconds.
      3. Rune Strike - Does deadly Physical damage after the target blocks, dodges or parries an attack. Can't be dodged, blocked or parried.
      4. Death Strike - Does high Physical damage and heals self for 2% of max health. Heal increased by 1% per disease. Casted every 24 seconds.
