    [Unlimited] - Revamped Instances Update and Sneak Peek

    In this thread, we are presenting the leveling instances and the Tier instances from Tier 1 to Tier 5.

    They will be released soon, with next to be the last revamped Tier instances (Tier 6 and Tier 7) and the class balance for both PvE and PvP.

    Below are a few screenshots for each instance, and their description.




    Levelling instances

    • There will be three levelling instances, each with their own level bracket

      • Mana-Tombs - from level 1 to level 80
      • Auchenai Crypts - from level 80 to level 170
      • Sethekk Halls - from level 170 to level 255

    • Max 3 players

      • All three instances are soloable, and the max players that can be in the instance at one time is 3 players.

    • Levelling will be done in stages and by killing bosses only.

      • For example, if you are level 1 and you kill the level 1 boss in Mana-Tombs, you will be raised to level 20. If you are level 20 and you kill the level 20 boss in Mana-Tombs, you will be raised to level 40.
      • Each instance contains trash mobs and 4 bosses.

    • The instances are in a dungeon setting. You will have to deal with it as you are doing a normal dungeon.
    • As for the gear, the items will scale with you each level, removing the need of different level item sets.

    • Background:
      In these dark times, every man that is able to carry a weapon is needed in order to protect our Homeland. We have established training grounds for those who are willing to start their life as an adventurer, not only to train them but also to separate the wheat from the chaff.

    Tier 1 - Scarlet Monastery (Cathedral)

    • 3 man Dungeon.
    • Is the first instance the players experience after they have achieved level 255.
    • Requirements: level 255.
    • Can be done without a tank and a healer, but a class that can support its group is helpful.
    • Contains 6 different trash mobs and 4 bosses.
    • Suggested group composition
      • 1 plate DPS (Warrior, Deathknight, Paladin or a Bear Form Druid) or a tank
      • 1 DPS
      • 1 DPS with healing/support capabilities (Shaman, Druid, Priest, Paladin)


    • Background:
      Forces, yet to be unknown, have driven the majority of the Scarlet Crusade insane. Being under its influence, Lord Mograine has barricaded himself and his allies in the Monastery and is devising plans to annihilate every living being on Azeroth. A small group of heroes was requested to sneak into the monastery and execute every possessed human there before it's too late.

    Tier 2 - Ragefire Chasm
    • 5 man Dungeon.
    • Requirements: Item Level Requirement (90% Tier 1)
    • Contains 9 different trash mobs and 5 bosses.
    • Suggested group composition
      • 1 main tank
      • 1 healer
      • 3 DPS

    • Background:
      After escaping from the Firelands, the Fire Lords have settled in Ragefire Chasm to gain their strength. Beware, heroes, as this place is infamous for its strong bond with the fire element. We cannot let them bring conflagration and pestilence to our lands!

    Tier 3 - Shadowfang Keep
    • 5 man Dungeon.
    • Requirements: Item Level Requirement (90% Tier 2)
    • Contains 11 different trash mobs and 6 bosses.
    • Suggested group composition

      • 1 main tank
      • 1 healer
      • 3 DPS


    • Background:
      One of the greatest Scourge champions, the merciless Bel’tanis, has already brought death and despair to the Silverpine Forest. Our scouts have reported that he was last seen plundering the Shadowfang Keep. We must take him by surprise and end this invasion once and for all. Scourge need to be brought to ashes!

    Tier 4 - Vault of Archavon

    • 10 man Raid.
    • Requirements: Item Level Requirement (90% Tier 3)
    • Contains 4 different trash mobs and 4 bosses.
    • Suggested group composition

      • 1 main tank and 1 off tank
      • 2-3 healers
      • 5-6 DPS


    • Background:
      Long time ago a secret council of mages tried to enslave four lords of the elements. Unfortunately, they underestimated their powers and died in agony. In their last attempt to hide what they have done, those mages sealed the Vault, hiding both their dead corpses and the Four Lords in it forever. Our shamans found out that those Lords were not so eager to spend the eternity imprisoned and have been gaining power all this time. We have to rectify the mistakes of the past and bring an end to this once and for all!

    Tier 5 - Hellfire Ramparts
    • 5 man Dungeon.
    • Difficulties
      • 5 man Normal - which drops Tier 5 items
      • 5 man Heroic - which drops the same as the Normal difficulty + new custom gems, enchants and various other items

    • Requirements: Item Level Requirement (90% of Tier 4)
    • Contains 8 different trash mobs and 4 bosses.
    • Suggested group composition

      • 1 main tank
      • 1 healer
      • 3 DPS

    • There are two instances for Tier 5. One drops half of Tier 5 (Hellfire Ramparts), while the other drops the other half (The Shattered Halls). It is NOT needed for both Tier 5 Dungeons to be done to enter the Tier 5.5 Raid (The Blood Furnace), but the difficulty of the Tier 5.5 Raid requires for most of the group to be full Tier 5.

    • Background:
      Grand Warlock Nethekurse, notoriously known as “The Torturer”, has built up a great army in the Hellfire Citadel. His powers are too strong, we have to act smart. Grand Warlock’s general, Razorsaw, has settled up training grounds for his demons in the Hellfire Ramparts. We have to diminish their numbers!

    Tier 5 - The Shattered Halls
    • 5 man Dungeon.
    • Difficulties
      • 5 man Normal - which drops Tier 5 items
      • 5 man Heroic - which drops the same as the Normal difficulty + new custom gems, enchants and various other items

    • Requirements: Item Level Requirement (90% of Tier 4)
    • Contains 10 different trash mobs and 4 bosses.
    • Suggested group composition

      • 1 main tank
      • 1 healer
      • 3 DPS

    • There are two instances for Tier 5. One drops half of Tier 5 (Hellfire Ramparts), while the other drops the other half (The Shattered Halls). It is NOT needed for both Tier 5 Dungeons to be done to enter the Tier 5.5 Raid (The Blood Furnace), but the difficulty of the Tier 5.5 Raid requires for most of the group to be full Tier 5.

    Tier 5.5 - The Blood Furnace
    • 10 man Raid.
    • Requirements: Item Level Requirement (90% Tier 4)
    • Contains 9 different trash mobs and 5 bosses.
    • Suggested group composition

      • 1 main tank and 1 off tank
      • 2-3 healers
      • 5-6 DPS

    • To enter the raid, the player does not have to do the previous Tier 5 Dungeons (Hellfire Ramparts and The Shattered Halls), but the difficulty requires that most of the group have full Tier 5.

    • Background:
      The main headquarters of Nethekurse’s army are located in the grim halls of the Blood Furnace. We need to strike before he can restore the destruction we caused in Ramparts and Shattered Halls. There will be no other chance!

    I have high hopes, especially for the class balance, I would like to see a long post solely dedicated to it. Keep up the good work and release soon pl0x.

    Side note - Have you thought of opening closed instances for players to farm for mogs etc? To give them something else to do.

    Looks really great, I hope that it will be implemented really soon!

    I was thinking, would it be possible to add a portal at the end of the dungeons, which would lead to the next one? Kinda like how it is done in Forge of Souls and Pit of Saron in retail. It would certainly make it easier to move on and cut down the time having to use Hearthstone to teleport out and find a Teleportation Master to get to the next one (If you have Go Go Gadget: Teleport that would ofc not be a problem for you).

    ill add to that comment, 20-25% movement speed out of combat ? in new dungeons. The problem in most mid tier, late tier dungeons - the wipe and rerun is always a killer ;( and i see these dungeons are actually quite long ones, Eg : SFK , Hellfire blood furnace

    There will be, based on the instance, ways of fast travel and teleportation. All instances will get the same treatment as Ulduar did.

    About the opening of the closed instances - we have not decided yet, as we have transmog instances, which we want to keep.

    About the "new custom gems, enchants and various other items" - yes, it is a surprise to be revealed on their release.

    So what happens to RFC T20 when RFC T2 comes out?

    are T12-21 getting mashed into these 5.5 Tiers?

    I think t1- t5 = up to ZA and these new t6 and t7 they are working on is replacing sunwell and Rage fire chasm
